DALE: MAKERSPACE AVAILABLE

Our MakerSpace is an area that offers library patrons an opportunity to create intellectual and physical materials using a MakerBot Sketch 3D Printer, Roxio VHS/DVD Converter, Brother SE 600 Sewing & Embroidery Machine, Singer Sewing Machine, Cricut Explore Air 2, Button & Keychain Maker, Art Skills Wood Burning Kit, Smart Sketcher Projector, and a Smart STIX Engineering Kit. The MakerSpace will be open on Mondays 9:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesdays & Fridays 9:00-5:00 p.m., and Saturdays 9:00-12:00 p.m.

Maryann is available by appointment for additional training on Mondays from 1:00-7:00 p.m. and Fridays from 1:00-5:00 p.m. You can email her at lincolnheritage17@gmail.com or call 812.937.7170 to schedule a time.

To use the MakerSpace, you must first complete the Online Introduction and Safety Training. Those interested in using the MakerBot Sketch 3D Printer and the Roxio DVD/VHS Converter must also be trained to become certified in these machines. The training links can be found in the MakerSpace Required training link below.

Once the training is complete, please print out your certification and present it to the library staff.

The MakerSpace is available for those individuals ages eight and up who have completed Safety Training and have a MakerSpace User Agreement and signed Waiver of Liability on file.

No one under the age of 8 is allowed in the MakerSpace. Children age 8-13 must always be accompanied by an adult. No exceptions can be made.
