Get a Library Card
Join the thousands of LHPL library cardholders and register for your library card today!

Free to residents and property owners of Spencer County, a Lincoln Heritage Public Library Card grants you access to all materials and services, including public computers and digital resources. Renew: Bi-Annual, FREE. Replacement cards are $2.00.

To receive your card, visit either the Dale or Chrisney Branch with your proof of current address and valid photo identification on hand. For teens and children under the age of 18, a parent or guardian signature is required. LHPL Card Application  

Other Types of Cards
Reciprocal Card
Issued to patrons who have a valid resident library card from a reciprocal Indiana Library not in the Evergreen Library System. Warrick, Dubois and Willard Library card holders in good standing may Spencer County. Renew: Annually.

Public Library Access Card (PLAC)
Available to Indiana residents who have a library card in good standing from their hometown library. Public Library Access Cards allows individuals to borrow materials from any Indiana Public Library . Renew: Annually, $65.

Non-Resident Card
Available to those who do not live in Northern Spencer County or a a qualifying reciprocal library district, Non-Resident Cards, provide access to all physical collections, digital services, public computers, and online databases. Renew: Annually, $50.

Teacher Card
In order to obtain a Teacher Card, an individual must first have a valid Library card that is in good standing with LHPL.  Teachers living outside the LHPL area may obtain a reciprocal card even if they do not live in a district that has a reciprocal agreement with us. Teachers may check out collections of no more than 150 items. To receive a Teachers Card please print, fill out, and bring to the library.   Teacher Card Application
