Dale: Bite-Size Bookworms: Thursdays: Virtual at 11:00 a.m. for ages 3 yrs & up
Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. on Facebook LIVE. The goal of story time is to introduce young children to the library and to literature. It also provides them with an enjoyable group activity. Story times are designed to provide children with experiences that enrich their early literacy and social development. Each week story time is geared towards a specific theme (rainbows, farm animals, dentists, bees, etc.). A “typical” story time consists of reading stories in a variety of forms (books, flannel boards, etc.), movement activities (dancing and singing), and of course creative crafts developed appropriately to reflect a range of artistic styles. Story time sessions are a special time for young children to interact with other children their own age and adults outside of the family.
Bite-sized Bookworms in a storytime for children ages 3-6 years of age. During this storytime, Ms. Abby will read 1-2 stories on the topic of the week. Also, if you would like for your children to enjoy the craft along with Ms. Abby, please come to the Dale library and pick up a Storytime Craft Kit. In each kit are crafts for the entire month. One bag per child please.
