Chair Exercises: Mondays from 5:00-5:30 p.m.: Fun and effective exercises done while sitting in a chair. we do a different and fun routine each week. From chair aerobics to chair Zumba, we do it all and have a blast! All workouts are seated and beneficial for all fitness levels.
5K Walking Class: Tuesdays: September 6, 13, 20, 27 from 5:00-6:00 p.m.: Are you tired of being the last person to finish a 5k? Have you never done a 5k before because you were afraid of being last? Fear no more! We will help you learn to walk a 5k! You will learn the proper way to move your feet & body and you will learn to walk 12-minute miles! You also earn monthly incentives prizes AND there will be a drawing for a $50 gift certificate for a pair of shoes during the last class on March 28. While you don’t have to attend every class, you do need to register to be given the walking schedule and counted for the incentives. Register at the front desk or give us a call.
Yoga with Angie: Thursdays from 5:00-5:30 p.m. We will do a Yoga routine for beginners, but it will always be beneficial for any skill level. Learn new yoga skills each week. at 5 pm in the Hoosier Room (Bring your mat and water bottle. The workouts are between 30 and 45 minutes. What happens at Yoga class STAYS at Yoga class!
“Sewing Life Hacks: Hemming”: Monday, August 1 at 6:00 p.m. If you have ever needed dress pants, jeans, or even skirts hemmed come by and a local seamstress will teach you this skill! Feel free to bring a garment you need to be hemmed, or if you just want to learn come and use the materials provided.
LHPL Afternoon Book Club: Wednesday, August 10, September 14 from 1:00-2:00 p.m.: Held on the 2nd Wednesday. You earn incentives for attending book club, and after you have attended 12 discussions, you will receive a nice tote bag. At most meetings, you are allowed to keep the books we read. Attend the book club when you want: afternoon, evening, or both. Books are always available at the circulation desk.

Creative Colors Art Group: Thursday, August 11, September 8 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.: Anyone is welcome at any session. Bring a painting you are currently working on or start a new one that evening. Supplies are provided for your first time, but established artists should bring their own. Discuss techniques, media, and all related topics with like-minded people while working on your projects together. This group meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month.
Book Bingo: Monday, August 15, September 19 from 6:00-7:00 p.m.: Play bingo for books and book-related prizes. Always an entertaining time. Bring your friends and family.

Movie Night: "The Lost City" PG-13: Monday, August 22 starting at 5:30 p.m. and will last for 1 hr. 52 min. Limit of 20 adults. "The Lost City" starring Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, Brad Pitt, and Daniel Radcliffe. Popcorn and bottled water will be provided, but please feel free to bring your soda or other (non-alcoholic) drink in a bottle or cup with a lid.
"Would You Rather?" Game Night: Monday, August 29 at 6:00 p.m. Enjoy a fun and funny hour of this popular game! With questions as silly as "Would you rather be a werewolf who's afraid of the moon or a vampire who faints at the sight of blood?", you are in for a good time. Trophies for the winners!
Let's Tie-Dye: Monday, September 12 at 6:00 p.m. Limit 16 adults, please reserve your spot: In honor of Talk Like a Pirate Day on 9/19 and Halloween next month, we will be “dying” t-shirts using bleach. You will need to bring a darker color t-shirt, preferably 100% cotton. Everything else will be provided.
Fabric-covered Bulletin Boards: Monday, September 26 at 6:00 p.m. Limit 12 adults, please reserve your spot: We will be covering cork bulletin boards in fabric to make an attractive and functional wall hanging.
