  • While the State of Indiana has lifted the mask mandate we are highly recommending that patrons still wear them when visiting the library.  All staff are still required to wear them at all times covering their mouth and nose.
  • There are hand sanitizer stations at each entry way, in the children's room as well as at the circulation desk. Touchless faucets have been installed in both restrooms upstairs as well as a touchless water bottler filler. The smaller water fountain is still unavailable.
  • Some children's computers and iPads are now available with spacing 6 feet apart. Two wooden chairs will be available on the sides of the two wooden tables in the children's room. One chair per table in the children's room will also be available. 
  • Access to the book store room will be available upon request.
  • Our large meeting rooms downstairs can be reserved for up to 14 people at one time with seating spaced 6 feet apart. Masks are highly recommended to be worn at all times.  (If our county is in RED due to COVID-19 # increase, the large meeting rooms will be unavailable).
  • Computer and Genealogy assistance is available upon request. Please call (Dale: 812.937.7170 or Chrisney: 812.362.8471) to make a reservation.
  • The photo printer is available to the public and the table and screen will be sanitized after each use.
  • The study room will be available to the public with a max of 2 people in the room at one time. Cafe area in the basement will also be assessable but it will be solely used for parent-child visits, CASA visits, etc. Reservations are not necessary at this time.
  • All tables will be sanitized after each use. 
  • Some face to face programming has resumed at Dale only, but with strict precautions. A majority of the library‚Äôs programs are being conducted virtually. Please see our calendar.
