Lincoln Heritage Public Library

The Indiana Room contains various genealogy resources including: written materials, microfilm and microfiche of local and county newspapers from 1844 through 1998, CD-ROMs and vertical files.  The library has census records, newspaper abstracts, ‘how-to’ books, and materials to assist genealogists in utilizing the World Wide Web as a research tool.  In 1999, a new reader/printer was purchased.  The library initiated copying records from Fuller Funeral Home and Schum Monuments in Dale, Indiana.  These records, as well as other county funeral homes, are also available.

Local churches and civic organizations are encouraged to bring in their records for safekeeping and enhanced availability to the public.  Family genealogy records are a welcome addition to our collection.  School yearbooks and old phonebooks would also be welcome.
